Winter. It could signal months of boredom and snuffly noses or, we could choose to view winter through a glass half full... of hot chocolate! Winter is a great excuse to enjoy the delights of comfort food, snuggles, cuddles and long stories by the fireplace (or under some soft woolly blankets!). It's also a great reason to head into Family Life Home. In excess of 50 Social events are coordinated each month for Parents and Children to attend. MY SUPER SINGLE MUM is the first collaboration between author Bronny Fallens and illustrator Muntsa Vicente. Bronny (based in Melbourne, Australia) and Muntsa (based in Barcelona, Spain) are an excellent example of how the web breaks down barriers bringing creative people together. My Family with my Super Single Mum the first installment. Bronny a single mum herself was inspired to write a children's book series about alternate family situations when she discovered a lack of books in this arena. 'There are books out there' Bronny says 'but they are educational rather than communicating that it's okay and normal to be in a family that isn't mum, dad and 2.5 kids'.
